I was a huge fan of the Shining games while growing up. My first experience was Shining in the Darkness, and that got me hooked. When a new installment was mentioned in EGM, and which would eventually become Shining Force, I was obsessed with finding as much info as I could about it, picking up any magazine with a snippet about the game. I can only imagine how annoying I was to the guys at my local game shop, calling every day to see if my copy had come in yet. When I got it, I played the hell out of it and finished the thing in four days, only to shelve it and not touch the game again for several years… >_>
